No Brits chiming in here? They pay far more than Canada does, we are looking at $1.18/L here, and that doesn't hurt with the Yaris. It hurts with our winter car (Volvo 245), it burns twice the fuel...

they like to start hollering about how bad its going to be so we accept it as an eventual fact. they are posting all these reports of how its gonna be $100 a barrel real soon, but in the last few trading days its gone from $91 something to $89 something. in order to do their summer profit taking they have to start the propaganda now.

the only real reason for $5 a gallon gas would be Israel blowin up stuff this spring or summer. if 17% of americans are unemployed and the other 83% are concerned about being unemployed, there won't be excessive recreational fuel burning this summer.

my cars getting 38mpg lately and my Suzuki bandit's getting 41mpg. they aren't going to hurt me that much..

We're getting regular (95) for the same sum, just the currency is different. 95 is going for 1,18€/litre here ATM.

I drive 20k a year and I myself am fine with the thought of 3.00+ a gallon. Its just the rest of the country who laugh at small cars like ours but complain every time fuel goes up. 2 summers ago when fuel was at $4 a gallon there was a lady filling up an excursion and it took $200 worth of fuel I just couldnt believe someone is just that wasteful. I like it when fuel is exspensive last time fuel went up I sold my old honda civic that had 200k on the odo for 3k I paid 1500 for it 2 years ago.

It's about $3.45 here. It seems like the Permian Basin always has the highest gas prices in Texas. But I'll always remember living in England where all the American military personnel had to be given gas vouchers to be able to pay for gas. So I try to remember to keep it all in perspective.
