I'll be watching to see more pics/updates. I think I'll be getting that LSD in the next year or so :)

So in his opinion, would it have been easier to just drop in a whole output shaft and diff from an xB instead? I know the bearing preload would have to be checked and likely adjusted, but that has to be done anyway, right?

Don't know the answer to that.
I do know that he did NOT need any special Toyota tools to do this.

^ Soon. Next is replacing the turbo manifold (which was cracked in several places), then a couple of small things I wanted done, then button it up and go for a drive!

Picked up the car, and all I can say is "whoa baby"! It's BEAST!

This is not for the weak of heart; definitely a performance mod. If you don't want 3500 @ 70 mph, more in-cabin noise, etc., it's not for you. If you want your power band available right now, it's sweet.

Hoping to race a little on Thursday night.

Nice! I'm curious about the increase in cabin noise: is it just from having higher RPM at the same speed? I think the solution for us DD-ers for highway speeds at lower RPM is to get the 5th gear setup from an '03-ish Matrix/Vibe 5-speed.

^ My cabin noise is amplified by several things: 3" turbo-back exhaust, TRD motor mounts, gutted rear panels, no baack seat, etc. So 4000 rpm is LOUD in my car, might not be so much in a stock car.

Winding it up produces more noise in general.
