so the "chip swap" is just switching the electrical box from one TB to the other? well that's 10x easer than I was anticipating. I was thinking it was a real chip swap, I was digging out my computer tools :)
this looks like fun. I like to port things, plastic is so easy!

It seems so. I thought the same. I was thinking I didn't want to mess with it but I've come to the same conclusion. Its real easy.

i think i'm going to do some heaver modifications on the manifold than in the pics. there is a rather sharp corner on the right side. (you can see it in the pics of the link) i think i'm going to cut through the wall completely, making a nice smooth curve. there is a 10mm gap that's cut like 30mm deep that makes that sharp edge. i'm going to cut the whole wall out and add filling material from the outside. it'll be real smooth and curvy...

on a side note, i noticed that the runners on the stock manifold are longer than the "long runner manifold" sold by microimmage/eagle... i'm just sayin'

Good price on the manifold. I dremmel'd down the right hand corner pretty good but I didn't want to wear through the plastic so I didn't push it too much.

It would be extremely hard to patch a hole with JB weld once the hole is made. You are better to build up the corner w/ the weld first, let it harden and then start grinding it down.

I'm interested in how you find the results. It is still to this day the best performance mod I did (paired w/ the 1zz tb)

yea, I was going to add filler first to the right side gap. I see you have the "in cab" short shifter kit. where does that go, and what does it do?
i'd think the best mod would have been the rear swaybar :)
I just ordered the 1zz TB and hope to start shaping this thing by the weekend.
