I may need to drive your car since my LSD install tutorial video is making the whole process take longer

Loving the videos this season! Can't wait to see the LSD install and how it makes a difference on the track in the current setup.

I got reserved seat time on June 9th. I also work that day so if I dont get out of that you might have to sort out the car yourself

the seat can be moved with an allen key and some time

Round #12

We used our second event with the new LSD to do suspension tuning. We’ve got the car sliding well again, but it took me a while to adapt

Looking forward to see what you do with the car for next season.

In terms of further weight reduction, have you looked at composites at all? I recall you were changing the glass for lexan, but what about fiberglass body panels? I assume carbon fiber is out for a Yaris.. lol Have you cut into the doors yet?

Good video, looking forward to next year. I'm curious if you ran some other tires that are well known in the autox vircuit, to see how you find they compare to the Achilles

I have a couple blog posts on my website showing everything I have done. I have cut a LOT of metal out of the car already. Stock the car was 2360, light weight reduction got me down to 2150, serious cutting got me down to 1950...

It’s gonna be hard to get down to the 1800’s

I have tried the Dunlop Z2, Hankook RS3, Hankook Rcomp, BFG R1s, and the Achilles ATR Ksport. I can’t afford the Hoosiers at $1000 per set, so getting faster in other ways.

Aha! I flipped through YW and hadn't found it, but it was the blog where I'd have read it a while ago.

Had a re-read and ya, you've gone to task on the metal work already, lol. Shaving another 50+ pounds is going to be a challenge for sure.. we look forward to your creative solutions.

Enjoyed the video! You'll get that Beamer eventually. I'm glad to hear that the Yaris will see another season of racing. Knowing little about autocross, is it down to weight and handling only now for your Yaris, or would extra power and torque be much of a benefit to you? It's a major pipe dream for me, but I keep finding myself returning to Monkeywrench racing and staring longingly at the TKC turbo kit. In the very, very remote chance that I did somehow decide to go that route down the road in the distant future, I'm not even sure if my transmission could handle the extra stress.

The car really needs a turbo kit and hoosiers to be a class winner, but thats a lot of money just to win some plastic trophies. I would love for all of us in P1 class to run the same tire, so I can gauge where the car actually stands.

But thats not likely, so I'll just keep taking "L's" andhaving fun. lol
