Nope...just looks nice...no fuction served that I can think of, other than shielding your arm from the hot cam cover when installing a header.

I have no carpet, and I can say for sure that the "tar", which looks more like drywall putty or cake icing in the yaris, is only on the main panel seems.

Talking

So are any of you lunatics that are ripping out your 60/40 seats interested in selling or trading them for the solid rear bench, by any chance?

I'm selling my 60 section, but I'm sure shipping would be quite high

I'd actually recommend shipping it in two pieces, it couldn't be more than $40 parcel-post via the USPS then, since it caps at about $20 for a 70-pound package, and two packages would be much less likely to end up 'too large' where you get pounded badly in oversize/overweight penalty-charges.

I only removed the lower part of the rear seats(the one you put your ass on) and it really didn't weight that much. The factory carpets are removed. The spare tire and trunk carpet and things also removed and the the jack and all tools removed.... I only feel more noise but just for my peace of mind I run the car with only $10 (some 4 gallons) of fuel just in case.

I wonder how much the front and rear windows weight? Those sure weight a few pounds.....
