You could technically stretch some 215's onto a 9"inch wheel, but there's no point.. you may as well just run an 8" wheel. I personally plan on buying just a 16x7 for summer next year with 205mm tires.
In the front you're right.

we're running a 7" +25mm now with a 205 in the rear and it fits nicely. (coilovers).

I guess ultimately I'll need to find some lower offset wheels to really "push" the limits of what "fits" and then decide from there.

too bad my 17x10s are drilled for 5x114 and 5x100

depends on the offset.

+43 or so you should be fine.

+35 you run the risk of rubbing.

you "should" be fine although a slightly higher offset would be better if you're worried about rubbing.

may need to add a little camber if you do rub.

no :(

I think we can make it work with the right tire size/offset and camber up front.

and saggio showed we can pull the rear fender a good bit.

I've got the 15x9s picked out, just need to figure out what's needed to actually get it to "fit"

well that and finding the $$ to do it

Exclamation

Rota is pretty good about offering high offsets. Same with BBS if you can afford it. You might be able to find an 8"width wheel with a +48mm offset from them.

i've never owned rotas before. i have BBS RGR's on my IS300.. but seeing as the Yaris is a FWD Econobox, i think Rota will be just fine.

Good choice. 18's are just way to big for our cars especially 18's that wide

BUMP

I need as much rubber as humanly possible on the road. I'm OK with running a staggered offset and even wheel size if raking the car forward a bit would improve traction. Any suggestions?

225 45 15 on a 15X7 +35

why do you want staggered?

Currently my fronts are pretty much flush, but the rears sit inwards moreso than the front, so a different offset for the front and rear would be ideal, no?

Glad you're here to respond to this Tamago.
