Did you drain coolant or merely have to fill it back to acceptable range given the amount that leaked from the pump?

I though of adding that to the guide at some point, there is a 3rd bolt from the bottom.

I can tell you the size or make a pic if you need it.

Yaris Verso 2000, I loosened the 2 top bolts on the engine mount and the nut on the underside of the mount a couple of turns, I then got a nail bar and some wood and levered the engine, this shifted the engine enough so the pump came out easily.

Thanks for the original guide

Water Pump Replacement

I just changed out the water pump on our 2007 Yaris at 190,000 miles. It never leaked a drop but began making a disturbing noise that was very difficult to track down. After referring to many posts on Yarisworld, I felt confident the noise was in the pump even though it felt fine when the belt was removed and the pump was turned by hand. The only additional comments I would make are as follows: I never had to lower the front of the engine by 2"; in fact, I didn't lower it at all. The pump can be removed and the new one installed by carefully turning and twisting it a bit.
I bought a replacement pump and a metal gasket from Auto Zone and everything worked out perfectly. Total time to replace the pump and get the car running again was 2 1/2 hours.

Good point. I found that unbolting the AC tubing mount, that sits by the pulley, also helps with being able to remove it without lowering or raising the engine.

Did you buy the Duralast water pump (AWP-9187)? How many miles have you driven since replacing the pump with an aftermarket? Any issues or recommendations?

Mine has 200k and is not leaking yet. But I did flush my coolant at the recommended service intervals and only used toyota pink fluid.
