Just read Idjiit's post and he makes sense, so maybe they did do the alignment. This was all done before I took delivery, so maybe the alignment was considered part of the dealer prep.

If it handles perfectly and the steering wheel tracks straight when you take both hands off the wheel then they definately did an alignment.

Yup .... that it does. Best $514 I ever spent on a car! I wonder why the Yaris was so high to begin with? The car seems about right with the kit, not radically low at all. I have experienced no problems whatsever with clearance, and the roads around here are pretty bad.

No need to be "jcove", you are just $514 away. BTW I think the TRD kit will even handle Brampton's bombed out streets. I grew up there ...... I know what you are up against!!!!!!

the guy at the toyota accessories shop said that you will notice the alignment if your going at about 120km and up, otherwise it's not noticable.

Thanks H. I will check. To be honest, I've been over 120 a few times and I have not noticed anything. Be a good idea it out again though.

Very soon. There's just one thing in the way. I'm going on an Alaskan cruise with my wife for our anniversary in May, so I'm trying to wait until after that to spend any more money. It's very hard to wait!!

I think with the car being relatively small, they want to give owners the impression that the car is much bigger, hence the high ride height and seat height. It's hard to argue with that logic since it actually works. The Yaris "feels" very big while you're driving it, and it probably wouldn't with 2" lower suspension and 2" lower seat height.

The alignment is not included in the price of lowering springs, it only includes the install. You may not notice that the alignment is off since it doesn't necessarily translate into the car not tracking straight. Make sure to get it done otherwise you'll pay the price in tires down the road!!

so you really can't tell if the alignment if off or not after the lowering springs is installed? It just affects the car internally - like things you can't really see or feel?

Sometimes it can be seriously noticeable however other times it can be a slight difference in the toe, camber, or caster which can cause irregular or increased wear on your tires. Trust me it can be expensive, last summer I had some el cheapo shop do my alignment and by the end of the season I ended up with two run down tires... $400 later and I've learned a valueable lesson!

Figured I would add the link to the photos of my 2006 Yaris. I bought it November of last year and have a terrible time trying to find aftermarket parts, but here it is nonetheless.

Ive done all the work myself and will continue to do so.
