I see that on the pully page it says:
Increased horsepower - Average of 6 - 8 horsepower Is there a dyno proving that? Is that after all the pullys? |

This increase in power usually comes from the full 3 piece set. There are dyno charts listed in the "pulley specs, users data, etc" thread in the performance modifications section of YW. We have seen these numbers in similar 4 cylinder engines we have tested with. |

I want a set of these but have a quick question When I installed the NST Crank Pulley it definitely increased engine vibration at idle. I know this has been discussed but are there any chances of the car stalling during warmup or even after warmup due to the way the yaris idle fluctuates up and down? The down idle gets pretty rough at times depending on weather and engine temp.

The increase in vibrations from the crank pulley should only be barely noticeable. although it may be there due to the removal of the rubber band. Most people actually claim that their engines idle more smoothly with NST crank pulleys.
The OEM WP and ALT pulleys have no such rubber in them, thus there will be no difference in the NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) between the OEM and NST versions. |

I didn't notice anything myself. Did you torque to spec?

It's not a huge difference but I do I have a little more vibration at idle. Everywhere else in the powerband is pure smoothness. Torqued to spec.

QUESTION: Do you recommend using new hardware to install these? I would think the crank pulley bolt might tend to stretch a little after being installed....similar to a head bolt....and should be replaced each time the pulley is taken off. Any thoughts? |
