plastic windows

what's your view on plastic windows to replace the windows except windshield on our yaris? polycarbonate specific?

I think you would be hard pressed to find one for the rear hatch. Hazing and scratches would become an issue after awhile. For a track car great if legal. I do like the idea.

Maybe there is a scratch resistant firm or a polish that can apply to the polycarbonate? because as you know many goggles like lab ones or use for shooting they are made out of polycarbonate. and they dont go haze or have lots of scratches after years of use

but putting the plastic on rear hatch for sure makes the heating element to not work so that will be something to lose.

i'd love to know just how heavy are the glass, if there is not much of a huge jump in weight saving it's probably a waste of money to replace the windows.
