New yaris, old yaris winter tires.

Going to be getting a new 2012 yaris in a couple weeks to replace my 2007. I have some general snow tires that are only a year old that I like and would like to keep. They are p175 65 r14, it looks like the new spec is p175 65 r15.

I'm going to talk to my local tire shop about this, but what do you forum members think about this? Doable?

as long as it clears the brakes you can do it, but... keep in mind the the outside diameter will be changed, so it will throw off spedo and some other driving characteristics.

Thank you, makes sense.

Does anyone know the outside diameter of the stock 2012 yaris LE hatchback?

i believe its 24"
the 14" size is a inch smaller.

i usually change no more than .5 in diameter.

use this if you want.

Studded "General Altimax Arctic" or unstudded if you care about the roads. I started with the studdless but ended up with the studded which worked better for me.

Unstudded, but I live in Edmonton. Constant freeze thaw and huge trucks destroy our roads.
