i like this intake very much. been wanting to purchase it for some time, but there is one thing holding me back. hydrolock. The yaris engine bay seems to get a lot of water splashed throughout on rainy days or during car wash. With an open filter I worry about it getting soaked then my engine failing. Have you guys thought about making some type of intake box for it also?

I had one of these in my 2001 echo, (same engine). It made the engine sound better. Gave a noticable difference to the performance. I want to get another one, but I still have the old one lying around. LOL

The ram air thingy kinda looks like it may fit my dryer also... I would think that a smooth inner wall like aem would be better of air flow.. Of course I am sure they have guys that have that pretty well figured out...

i heard foam filters are not as good compared to paper/cotton gauze filters. the foam sucks in more dirt and when it gets old it crumbles and your intake sucks it up thus ruining your engine. it looks real good though.
