. One more tank since my last posted fill up....and I paid 3 cents more ($2.13 9/10 at Murphy Express in Tomball, TX). It will be interesting to see if (or perhaps better stated WHEN) gas will go below $2.00 USD here per gallon.

When I filled up yesterday, gas in Chilliwack was $1.179 CAD a litre. This works out to around $3.40 USD a U.S gallon.

$2.07 here in NJ this AM. WSJ sez oil is headed for $30 a barrel, what with China possibly tanking and the glut of oil now on the market. WSJ sez companies are pumping oil even though they are losing money. Their game appears to be stoking the publics desire for big cars and gluttony so in the long run, oil prices go UP.

It s wonder the environmentalists aren't calling for increased taxes to offsets the savings so gas stays high and continues to climb.

If China tanks energy prices (and tires!) will come down. Pollution should be less too although I don't see anybody giving up bunring coal anytime soon. Indeed it must be getting so cheap its use will only go UP.

^^^^^ My next fill up after this was on Sunday 8/23/15. I paid 2 cents less per gallon....$2.11 9/10...at a Wal-Mart, but that wasn't even among the 15 lowest prices in the Houston Metro that day on GasBuddy.com. The 15 lowest prices = a range between $1.99 9/10 per gallon and $2.08 9/10 per gallon.....and all 15 = south of I-10...too far away to bother with that day.

Just paid $2.04 9/10 at the Kroger in Tomball, TX including my 3 cent per gallon Kroger card discount. This was still not among the 15 cheapest in the Houston Metro per GasBuddy.com. The 15 cheapest are between $1.95 9/10 and $1.98 9/10, and again all are way south of I-10 (mostly in Alvin,TX).

Gas was 1.099 CAD a litre, and diesel was 1.059 CAD a litre in Chilliwack today. Diesel is usually cheaper in the summer and more expensive in winter than gas.

$1.95 this am. Im thinking there are large stocks of diesel too they want to get rid of hence the unusually low price for it. Which is odd because diesel has an almost indefinite shelf life while gas doesn't.

Just paid $1.98 9/10 per gallon at the Phillips 66 station at Spring-Cypress Rd & Kuykendahl Rd. Not among the 15 cheapest stations in the Houston Metro. The 15 cheapest stations range from $1.87 9/10 to $1.93 9/10.
