Speed Control

I noticed that my dealer had several Yaris Automatic Liftbacks with speed control. I didn't know they were available with that option. Price was $349. Anyone else find this option available anywhere?

Cruise Control is a stand-alone dealer installed option. My dealership wants $500 to install it. It's pricey for an option that should be included in the power-package, but I find on long distance cruise, my ankle is the first thing to get fatigued.

right, for tall people doing long distance driving this shouldn't even be an option

True, I'm 6'1 and on the leggy side, so my foot actually rest flat to floor and I have to pick them off the floor, in order to go down on the accelerator pedal, which gets tiring after awhile. If I didn't need my foot for the accelerator, the position is actually a very good one to simply relaxing/rest, so having a cruise would be a bonus.

You can buy the exact kit the dealer uses off ebay for $240~, if you are handy with wiring it would save a lot of money.

Cruise control is nice but there are many times one cannot use it. My interstate travel always has tons of cars/tractor trailers and no way I could use it. Maybe early AM or Christmas Day.

my dealer wouldn't offer cruise control.
it came with the power package which cost about $2300
i imagine it wouldn't be difficult to do myself since the car is likely drive-by-wire but i probably wouldn't do it. cruise control can be dangerous in many ways as is.
