COOLANT RESERVOIR overfilled ...

from the factory by about 3 inches above the FULL mark . Is this something to be concerned about ? Just noticed it yesterday in our 2010 3 door .

Is this when the engine is cold or hot?

just checked it in the 2010 and its above . Car hasn't been used since SUNDAY . Checked the '08 sedan too and that's 1/2 way between LOW and FULL mark . That's sat since 5 p.m. MONDAY . The sedan is the one that we were told needs a new head gasket . Hopefully not low due to that . He told me that it was only leaking oil externally and not anti-freeze internally . If is could mess up the catalytic converters .

Smile

Won't hurt a thing. The worst that can happen is that some coolant spills out the overflow tube when the engine gets hot. I doubt it will do that at the level you're describing.
