Auto locks when starting - Page 2 - Toyota Yaris Forums

It's funny the Yaris comes equipped with a self-locking logic. If I push the remote unlock on my key but I don't open any doors, the car locks automatically after a couple of minutes.

I wonder how hard it is to figure out some type of a hack to apply the same logic after an engine start?

I have a 08 3dr LB with power lock's. They do not auto lock either. I did the cheapo alarm in my 4runner and it auto locks. I do like my integrated key fob on the yaris, so I dont think I will bother adding a new locking alarm like i did for my 4runner. But the feature would be neat if it could be just "Turned on" It is odd that some peoples yari's appear to work that way.
