2009 Yaris w/ 150K P0607 Code

Howdy!

Wife's 09 Yaris 5D w/ 150k is due for some love. I'm hoping to change the spark plugs this week. Anything else I should be ordering besides the spark plugs? I bought some new air filters (cabin and engine) as well. I can't do an oil change in my apartment complex's parking lot, so it's just light duty stuff.

I was hoping to not have to change the ignition packs because they are not something I budgeted for, lol; but if it's necessary than I will.

Thanks. Side note, I have the owners manual and read the regular service guide, and we are always ahead of the oil change schedule and fluid changes, and generally take good care of the car, I'm just trying to get my hands dirty a little to hopefully encourage myself to do more of my own car maintenance.

Don't change the coil packs, if they're not giving you problems there's no need to change them. At 150K I would check if the coolant and ATF have been changed.

Got a P0607 Code and previously I've had a rear O2 sensor code, but didn't think anything of it.

I'm replacing my air filter, spark plugs and PCV valve, and I don't think our EGR system can be replaced, but maybe I'll look into cleaning it?

No idea what to do about the P0607 though...

I would replace Toyota transmission fluid, coolant fluid change , check drive belt
2007 yaris hb 192k miles

p0607 check for lose connections ecm , check all fuses , and reset the car by removing the battery or using scanner. see if it comes back, I would drive around local for if it comes back or not..

Possible Solutions
As a vehicle owner there isn’t a whole lot you can do yourself to diagnose this DTC. The first thing to check is the battery, check the voltage, inspect for loose/corroded terminals, etc., do a load test on it too. Also inspect the grounds/wiring at the PCM. If that’s good the other common fixes for a P0607 Toyota Control Module Performance DTC seem to be either replace the PCM or update (re-flash) the PCM with updated software. Be sure to check for TSB’s on your vehicle (Technical Service Bulletins) as there are known TSB’s for this P0607 Toyota code for some Toyota and Ford vehicles. P0607 Toyota Control Module Performanc If the PCM needs replacement, we strongly recommend you have a qualified repair shop / technician do the work, one that has the capability to reprogram the new PCM. Installing the new PCM may involve using special tools to program the vehicle’s VIN (vehicle identification number) and/or anti-theft information (PATS, etc.). NOTE: This repair may be covered under the emissions warranty so be sure to check with your dealer as this may be covered beyond the bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranty period.

Thanks.

I've ordered the Denso iridium spark plugs, (#3324, SK16R11), new air filter, pcv valve, and some dielectric grease, so my battery posts don't corrode so easily.

I'm really concerned with the color of my accessory belt though...
