I need help with my left passenger window...

Can anyone please help me out? I currently own
a 2007 yaris sedan, and a couple of days ago my
automatic button from the driver's side to roll down
the window to the left front side passenger's side
was completely stuck, as if it was a piece of
plastic, that has never moved. I pressed it really hard
and after a couple times it finally was able to move
my window, but very slowly.

like 20 mins later i got off to go to the store and when
i came back, there was a burning smell, kinda like when
metal is getting burned or something similar to that.
then i tried rolling down my window from the driver's side,
and it wouldn't work, i tried it from the passenger's
and it did, but very slowly.

later on i got home and tried it again, and nothing, it would
not go up or down from either side. not from the driver's
side nor from the front passenger's side whatsover. all my windows
work, they go up and down from the drivers and their sides
except for the one in the front passenger, that one does not

Has anyone else had this happen to them, if so, can you
please tell me what to do to fix this?

i would really appreciate it greatly. thank you!

It sounds like you had a stuck switch and in the process of unsticking it broke something loose that is now floating around inside of the switch. You will most likely have to replace the switch assembly to fix it. The burning smell is a dangerous thing. The power window system has a 30A fuse, and 30 amps of current through a semi broken wire or small piece of metal can produce enough heat to make quite a mess.

Thank you for taking the time to read my
post, I appreciate it and for your reply also.

Oh wow, it sounds like something serious
How do I go about fixing that? Or do you
think it would be better taking it somewhere
else instead of fixing it myself? Is it possible
to do it myself?

You might want to just check some local junkyards for a power window switch (you don't want to know how much the dealer would want for one). The switch could not be easier to swap out. You pop off the trim pieces around it on the door, pop out the switch, disconnect the connector, plug the replacement switch assembly in, and pop the trim back on.
