How much to boost a 2nzfe engine..

Can anyone tell me the maximum boost that a 2nzfe can hold without making any damages to the engine please? Thanks

has the same compression ratio (10.5:1) as the 1nzfe

i wouldn't go more than 8psi on stock internals

And it depends on how you drive. If you do a season of racing @ 8psi on a stock motor, you might definitely see some engine damage.

You will have some measure of reduced engine life though, e.g., it's not going to run for 100,000 miles like that, just to be clear.

(but the miles you get will be REALLY fun)

It can probably hold 1 or 2 psi more than the 1NZ because it has a slightly shorter stroke... 11.2mm shorter.

without getting into the pros/cons of anything other than the end result:

turbo > supercharger

As much HP as 8 psi gives you with your specific build and tune.

I made 180 whp on 8-9 psi on my stock 1.5L 1NZ-FE.

with a little less displacement, you'd get a somewhat lower number, everything else being equal?
