any difference in mpg going from 185/60/15 to 175/65/15?

i think the new yarii are using this slightly slimmer tire and was just wondering if anyone noticed an increase in mpg from the skinnier tire?

I'm pondering the same question as my current tires have little life left. I think skinnier tires will improve wet traction and also mpg, since they are lighter and should have less road resistance.

You have to look for a tire that specifically states it's a Low Rolling Resistance tire if all you want is better millage. Also, inflating the tires to 40-45psi will improve the rolling resistance of any tire.

Any new tire will have better wet traction than an old worn tire, but summer only tires will have the best wet grip.

I also think that skinnier tire has less chance getting a flat.
