best stiffening

I was just wondering what's the best way to go about stiffening your engine/ tranny. From what I've seen the tq damper doesn't do much and I have no idea if the engine/transmission mounts work better. Opinions?

Also does the transmission mount work for the auto transmission?

I'm with tamago, I'm not sure why on an auto you would need it stiffened, unless you are neutral bombing the crap out of it haha and warranty or not, I dont recommend that however, a cheap alternative that I went with you can read about here.

The best way I know of to reduce the engine movement is to install the TRD and/or C-One upgraded engine/trans mounts.

I have the two side TRD mounts for sale for $200 for both if you want, they are brand new and I paid over $360 for them, just never got around to installing them.

I already sold the C-One trans mount I had to user "jkutcha" and you can search for his review of that on here (if it didn't get wiped).

Yes I know some people think tuning up anauto is stupid but it's my dd and it's fun. If I still had my 240 I probally wouldn't but it's still fun. I'm just looking to get more power to the wheels and stiffening it is one way. I am not plannin gon racing the car but it's super windy and a stiff cars allows for more fun through the roads.

I know how to make poly mounts on your own, but I'd rather buy some then go with ruining the chance of turning the car back to stock one day.

I am just wondering if mounts really help? and if the tq damper helps or is it just a waste like I think it is?

i used the window sealant in my last yaris, and will do again on this one.it was alot stiffer, felt vibration at idle but not that bad.i had the energy suspension inserts in my b13 se-r loved them wish we had something like that.i hate the fluid filled mount on the side in our cars.

How much does a spare engine mount cost like the one above??? It doesn't have to be OEM. I'm thinking of buying a new one to mod it.
