Steering wheel protector.

I'm interested to find people's views on this. I have the hard leather wrapped steering well that came with my yaris. However my work often leaves me with dirty hands and as much as i wash them I get a slight residue on my wheel at the end of the day, which I always wipe off.

I thought of a steering wheel cover but now I'm thinking if the cover itself will damage the wheels leather over time from the slight friction.

What do you guys think?

I could see a wheel cover damaging the OEM leather over time. Maybe keep a clean pair of driving gloves in the car that you'd use when driving for work?

As much as that sounds good, Its not really for me, i havent ever been comfortable with gloves on my hands. That's why I'm looking at the steering wheel cover route.
