Apa Kabar?

Where in indonesia are you? I used to live there years ago.

I believe he is asking if the final gear is 3.7 in the turbo yaris. Instead of the 4.3 final gear found in the other models...

The C54 transmission found in the 1.5l yaris has a final gear of 3.5
The Scion xA transmission (which is also a 1nzfe) has 4.3
The Yaris YR 1.3l 2NZFE has 3.9
The C160N 6 speed from the levin is 4.5

hope that helps....

OK,

The US Yaris comes with the C50 tranny and its highway friendly 3.722 Final gear

The Yaris TS, and not sure if other Asian spec Yaris have the C56 tranny which indeed has a Final gear of 4.312

Is just that there are 2 different 5spd transmissions used on the second gen yaris around the world.

Revoturbo you should be able to determine wich tranny do you have in your car by looking at the badge on the drivers door... where the chasis number is.

It should say either C50 or C56 somewhere in that badge.

You could import a 2009 TS

You would have 6 speed + 300 extra cc of displacement that will be of great help spooling a T28 turbine...

3.7 will be better for the turbo cars.

Someone should swap in a unit from the XA and watch their acceleration improve. I bet that gear change in the final drive is worth 3 tenths in the quarter mile.

2nd gear 88 Km/H
3rd gear 118 Km/H

Final gear 3,7 (yaris turbo M)

The question for that answer really depends on what you want your car for...

For a NA there is no doubt that it would benefit from the shorter gear ratio.

However for a turbo Yaris the longer gears will probably be better at least for street use...

The 04-06 Scion xAs and xBs have a shorter gears, so with an NA car looking to pick up speed from 0-60 that final drive is better. Be warned that a scion transmission will not fit into a Yaris (06+), however I did not try to swap the gear sets - thats a whole other project

If you do swap those Scion gears in, be sure to keep us updated! (You might even be able to sell off your old tall gears to a Scion owner who wants better mileage)

Actually... not really... Our cars here have the same short 4.3 gears, and the problem is, to reach 60MPH we need to shift into 3rd, wasting valuable time compared to you guys who can reach it right at the end of 2nd... So while you guys can do 0-60 in about 8-9s, it takes us over 10...

Though in an autocross/track environment the shorter gears would be an advantage....
