I wish I had the brains to do this and the seat warmer mod. CT Scott walked me through one mod and it worked great. This rear wiper mod is one I've waited for CTS to solve but it is beyond my mental limitations. I'm thinking of getting an IQ so I'll have more room to work on my Isetta project. The IQ is nearly 30" shorter than the Yaris. I wonder where the IQ crowd will get its problem solvers?

Thanks ctscott. I have been looking for months and finally found one on eBay.

Just ordered it and will be getting a stalk that came from a 2004-07 Lexus RX330. Hope everything works out.

Total cost is ~$62 shipping included.

Just my luck, I couldn't get this stalk to work.

It's for an 04-07 Lexus RX330:

MIST, OFF, LO, HI mode all work normally, but when I set it to "AUTO" nothing happens. One other thing is when I pull up the lever towards me, the windshield washer shoots out but the wipers do not "auto swipe" to clear the washer fluid off the glass.

I guess its either the stalk is defective or it isn't compatible with the Yaris.

I'm not sure where the P/N is but here are some numeric markings on the stalk:

The 0E020 is part of the 84652-0E020 part number. That stalk is for the RX330 that is equipped with "Rain Sensing Wipers", hence the "Auto" mode.

Thanks Scott --is there a way to trick the stalk's rain sensors / make it behave like stock?

I am betting yes, but I haven't found an EWD for the auto wipers yet.

This means that it will fit on the Yaris?
Step by step the delay will work?

The front wiper adjustable delay works by just changing the wiper stalk to one of the part numbers listed on the first page of this thread.

He bought a different one that is from a Lexus which had automatic rain sensing wipers. The automatic one had a sensor on the windshield and an ECU to interpret the sensor data and automatically turn on the wipers.

Adjusting the wiper is very useful.

Thanks for all the info Scott. I should've verified the p/n with the seller first instead just relying on make/description (i.e. rx330)

I think I'm going to start toying around the idea of adding a toggle switch to my rear wiper delay module to control the fronts as well and see how that works out.

p.s. I'll hold on to the rx330 stalk in case you happen to find the ewd for it. thanks again =)

I still haven't tracked down the EWD, but I definitely will. One thing I did find out is that with the stalk connected to the Wiper ECU, if you disconnect the rain sensor then the AUTO mode acts like normal intermittent.
