Def the roll cage, roof or not. Then - make a rallycross special from it. No paint required, coz you'll only lose it again!
There's a pretty active RallyX scene around this area.

This is what she looked like when I arrived to pick her up.

Here is the original thread about the ebay auction. It has more pics of the disassembly I've done thus far. I figured it was time for her to have her own thread...

I'm definitely thinking roll cage when I clip the roof. I am torn between crazy go-cart and utility vehicle. I am seriously toying with the idea of adapting the frame for a 6 foot blade tractor snow plow to her for plowing my driveway. Right now I plow with a 1972 10 HP Wheel Horse tractor. I could mount the hydraulic pump where the AC compressor was and drive it off of the serpentine belt and also beef up the under carriage.

The frame actually seems to be straight. All of the damage went to the right front suspension. The lower suspension arm, front stabilizer bar, and the tie rod end were all bent on that side. The axle on that side also has a bit of a bow to it (it just misses scraping by about 1/4"). If I was going to drive it at any significant speed, I'd really want to replace those parts.

Oh yeah, I remember that car now. Man what a mess

Snow plow?

I've never lived in a snowy climate, but wouldn't it cause the underside to rust even more?

No more than driving on snowy roads. The underside is actually pristine at this point. All of the rust is on non-coated parts and parts that had their paint scraped off.

That's kind of what I'm thinking (but sticking with the 15's and putting some ATV type tires on (like Swamp Foxes). I put a set of them on my tractor last year and found that they were the first tires that I have ever been able to plow with, without needing chains.

...I'd wear a 'Crashy' Yaris tee-shirt. Maybe - Project Crashy or Crashy Lives. I dunno, I just want a tee-shirt.

I found a nice snow plow for her on Craigslist. It's a 7' SnowBear that should be easy to weld up a mounting frame for. It's a light duty plow that weighs a lot less than many that I've looked at. I am going to go check it out an probably pick it up tomorrow.
