Dual exhaust mounted on sedan (PICS)

Looks like a dealer added thing that will net them $1000 for a (Upgraded dual exhaust system)

why would you put dual exhaust on a 4 cylinder with only one header?

Sure -- Juan has that set up on his sedan here. Most people either dummy one side or understand that is not a performance mod.

From the second pic, it looks like it has a dummy side, due to the fact you only see heat rising from one exhaust. (Right side), rather than both if they decided to do a Y pipe.

Several four-cylinder cars come/came stock with daul mufflers. Honda S2000, Acura TSX, Mazda Miata, Dodge SRT4, WRX STi, etc.

Heck—many V8s and V6s with dual mufflers still only utilize one main pipe after the exhaust manifolds, then split again.
