Scion XB 1NZ-FE Turbo build
I was asked to start a thread about my build. I was orginaly posting here because of the Gude head package, but I think we can all learn something new from each other since we carry the same motor.
My car which is just a toy and not a daily driver consumed me when I picked it up in 2005; brand new with 5 miles on it. At the time I had been working at Aerospace Components for 10 years doing nothing but manufacturing race car parts for drag racing. It became a running joke that I couldn't get this motor to make over 250hp.Keep in mind all the guys that work there are BBC guys running door cars. so like all males I set out to prove them wrong. Here is a quick overview of my mods. I will post pics and continue with explaining my mods as questions arrise. Also some of my parts listed are not in the current motor pic due to me customizing them. Like most racing parts their never how you want them out of the box.

Prior to this build I had a Greddy turbo kit 14G and maxed out at 228hp. What I am showing you now is all new and I have not tuned it yet. I'm waiting on a head from Gude to finalize the motor build. As far as how much coin is in this build, I've lost track but my wife hasn't. I think total which includes the car and everthing I've done inside and out around 65k. Nothing on this car has gone untouched. I think the VIN# is still the same though. Here is a pic of the brake system with my old AXIS wheels on. Front and rear 13" full floater race kits.

Wow!
I guess working where you do you make the kind of money to be able and fortunate to do this to a yaris, or any car for that matter. Much respect and i wish i could win the lotto someday lol. |

Yes, DSS did my axels. I've abused my stock axels so much that I went ahead and bit the bullet for a set of those axels. Their 26 spline like on a stock Mustang. So now no more worries.
I've done a ton of suspension work on this new build. Besides the axels I'm using JIC Double adjustable dampners, Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, JIC under body braces and of course that 13" full disc front and rear brake kit. I'm pulling the plastic tunnel out between the seats and refitting the car with a aluminum tunnel and installing a Hydraulic hand brake from K-Sport. No more stock parking brake. Besides could prove to be a little fun. XBG |
