Here's the finished product on the dipped wheels. Quite happy with the finish :)

Oh yeah, also added 4hp in the form of a stripe. Thoughts on the stripe?

Wheels look good, ready for some low!

In respect to the stripe, it's hard to make a definitive call from a single picture at one angle, but my initial feeling is that it's gotta go lol. If you were to make it wider, or add a wider one next to it, I think it could work. At this width, for me, it doesn't look that good. Again, though, I'm only going off the one picture.

Wider one next to it would look much better!

Now she needs a 25mm drop. ;)

Oh she's about to get dropped :) hopefully in a couple weeks time, I'm away from home for 3 weeks doing some training so as soon as I'm back it's happening!

I'll have to get some more pictures of the stripe, it's actually 2 thin ones making up that stripe. It's a 2mm and 4mm one with a very thin pinstripe. I kind of just did it on a whim really. I got half and half reactions from most people so far lol

Projector retrofit update!

She needs a wash but finally a photo! Here she is after being lowered. I've let the springs settle for a week or so and they seem to have dropped the quoted 35mm which is always nice! Noticeably flatter in the corners too! Did somebody say sway bar next?...

Thanks guys :) I think I'm happy with the way it's looking so far although I'll never say the look is complete. I'll find something else to change soon. Wife has just announced she wants black wheels on her Smart and a Morimoto retro. Over the years I've finally worn her down to get on and do some work on her car. So it begins :D

Where did you get the whole headlight assemblies? Also, what springs are those?

They are OEM Toyota assemblies but they are sprayed all black inside. Had them retrofit by BFC in Colorado. Although currently working on another set myself...

The springs are Vogtland sport springs. I believe the part number is 959028. They are for the 2nd gen chassis but also fit 3rd gen
