Payed too much ?

Hey guys,

the mods bug has bitten me and i think i got a little too exited and maybe payed too much.
I bought new tires and rims for a total of 752 € (819$) which includes the service of
a tire shop to get the tires mounted and the wheels balanced.

Rims: Enkei Yamato 7x16 ET40 fairly lightweight 17 pounds
Tires: Hankook Ventus S1 EVO K107 205x45

So some of my friends said i payed too much, but i think they always have bad tires on their cars.
Which is why they probably pay less than me.
But even thought i got a pretty good tire i managed to pay only 61€ (66$) per tire.

What do you think was it a good purchase or not ?

I can't speak with any great authority regarding the European market, coupled with the fact that those wheels don't appear to be available in North America, but for new wheels/tires/mount and balance, what you paid appears very reasonable to me.

Seems like a cheap price, although as stated above I have no idea what tires and rims go for in Germany

OK, while they dont sell that particular wheel here, I went to TireRack.com and searched enkei wheels for some that looked like those. $1152.00 for the wheels and 293.00 for the tires. This doesn't include mount balance, shipping etc. So did you get a good deal? not only yes but hell yes!!

They are "just" car friends, some of them are probably just jealous when you get new wheels. I still have good friends that aren't car people.
