DIY Transponder Key Program?

Hi All

I have purchased a new key with blank 4D trasnponder for my 06', but have had some difficulty progamming it.

Following these instructions i found online:
1. With driver's door CLOSED, Insert existing master key 4 times in and out into ignition, on the 5th time leave inserted (do not turn the key, just insert and remove), .

2. Open and close the driver's door 6 times, ending with the door closed on the 6th time

3. Remove master key from iginition. The security light should now be a steady red light.

4. Insert newly cut key into ignition. The security light should now begin blinking red- wait approximately 60 seconds until the light stops blinking and turns off.

5. Remove the new key. Insert the old master key and start the engine and turn it off.

6. Your new key should now work

The light never stopped flashing in step 4.....

Any suggestions??
