A/c blower motor noise!!!!

The blower motor is making a sound as if a paper was touching the fan blades.
A clicking sound.
It just started yesterday.

Remove the glove keeper, remove the filter and you will see the blower, just check it...

Hope it is leaves. If it indeed is, then the leaves will decay and be blown away eventually.

If this does not bother you too much and subject to there being no apparent safety issue, I think you can wait until the next oil change to mention it to the service people to see if they can fix it under warranty. I think a problem like this should be covered by warranty.

It might depend on the dealer...I know the one by me, they only give a loaner car for free if your car has to stay over night. Cause I brought my car in for a recall and asked about a loaner car and the guy said no, but then he retracted it cause the car was there for more than one day...I think it has to be one night or two, obviously if the car is underwarranty or recall other wise you would have to pay for the loaner and its not cheap from the stealership. I guess it depends on the dealers policy about that.

You may have a strong case for a loaner if through no fault of yours the dealership fails to keep a promise of fixing and returning your car on the same day. They should not ask you, the poor car owner who has sat in their waiting room for more than half a day, to walk home and come back the next day to collect your car.

Well I found the problem.
I have been keeping all my gas receipts in the glove box.
Three of them were sucked in by the blower motor.
My car does not have the a/c filter that is why the receipts made it that far.
Had there been a filter in place it would never have made that noise.
Are all yaris suppose to come with a/c filters?
Anyway thanks Kitt for the advice.

Which glove box was it? (How many cars could you ask that question about?!)

the passenger lower glove box. Most toyotas have the a/c filter, I am just wondering if they forgot to add it in mine.

Glad that the source of the problem is found. I will check someday to see if I have an air filter.

A piece of pine straw got into my blower somehow and was driving my wife crazy. (Well, that's her story as to why, and she's sticking to it. )

Access was as the previous posts, of course. The only tools that I needed was the long needle nose pliers to reach the little sucker and pull it out of the squirel-cage. It came out in three pieces, I think. Problem solved.

I wonder how it got in there though, I never had that happen to me before...

No filter here either...

Don't leave anything in the glovebox that could get sucked into the fan... because it inevitably will!

Get a filter... it's really easy to install.
