Scott, can you PM me what all I'd need to run this on my 2008 Yaris LB 5 speed? Interested but not sure if the wiring would be over my head.

You can definitely handle it. With my DIY many who have never touched any wires in a car have self installed it.

protip

for the two screws, you can use 2 standard server rack mount screws
found in most computer rooms or racks....
they are typically the same size and thread pitch, and short enough as well

that is what I used on my cruise control after digging through my junk drawer

That depends on if you are in Canada or US... >.> Canada's server rack uses #10-32 screws. I can't remember which one the US ones used...

Yes. There is a little bit of wiring that needs to be added for 06-08 Yaris, but it is just a matter of adding a couple of pins to two connectors and running the wire from the ECM to the steering column. Take a look at my DIY to see exactly what's involved:

I just installed the cruise control ordered from CTScott for $40.00 stalk & shipping and it was simple, relatively quick (about 1 hour total), and works great.

Installed on car listed 2011 yaris auto sedan with power windows/doors/ & blinking light on dash for immobilizer etc.

After disconnecting the battery, I only had to 1. remove the two Torx screws with a T-30 2. lift the air bag to expose the area to put the new stalk in and push it through the 3. new hole I drilled with a 1 inch drill (did not have 1& 1/8). 4. I then screwed in the 2 new phillip screws supplied by CTScott. 5. I then disconnected the white plug from the stearing column and Connected the new white plug on the stalk. 6. I then disconnected the other end of the original wire that had the white plug and the other end was a clip on wire to the air bag area; and connected the new slip on wire here and I am done except for reconnecting the air bag with the torx screws. (I never had to nor did I disconnect the air bag & other yellow wires) (Both yellow wires stayed intact from the air bag to the stearing column the entire time). (only 1 wire was removed to install this)

To save someone else time..........A regular T-30 usually comes in a box with a simple straight screw driver type handle to turn the T-30. I was unable to turn this with my hand strength. I quickly picked up my 1/4 inch rachet set and a small extension and added a 6.5mm socket and slipped the T-30 into the 6.5mm socket. It now became simple to turn the T-30 screws on both sides of the column (Leverage is great). Also squeeze the top center of the white plug and center of the clip to remove that one wire that you are replacing.

It is really simple, there was just a lot of previous older models and many pages of diagrams listed that no longer were needed for new models etc. that did not have all the wires etc. coming to the stearing column that made it a little confusing. The newer cars will all probably be simple with the power windows etc. using the oem stalk from CTScott.

Thanks Again.....Works great.... Great buy for oem cruise control....dash board icon shows it's working....tap for increase speed works...etc. etc.

I just read the Birthday listing, so ......... Happy Birthday CTScott
