air circulation fan problem

Has anybody else had the problem of having to send their Yaris in to have the fan looked at because it has become noisy only to learn that the culprit is a piece of paper that has been sucked in from the glove box. This appears to be a design fault because I was told by my dealership that it is a common occurrence.

this is common... use the search function for this and you will see that you are not the only one this has happened to.

If only the glove box was air-con'd... you'd have fridge quality Tim-Tams !!!
That in its self would be enough to sell the car !

Pull the glove box, put the knob in the recirculate mode, and you will be able to reach right down into the fan. If for some reason you can't get the stuff out from there, you can unbolt the fan from the bottom of the airbox.
