I de-badged myself. Woohoo!

No scratches or anything, clear coat "looks" fine.

However, if I shine a light on it and look at the car from a certain angle....I can clearly make out the TOYOTA and YARIS where it used to be.

Is there anyway to get rid of this?

I used hair dryer, fishing line, and bug/goo remover. Then I took it to the car wash.

Compound the area, then buff clean.

Next wax the area, then buff clean.

This should remove any sign of what use to be.

I bought some Turtle Wax ICE spray on stuff, on the way home and used it before reading your post.

The YARIS is hardly noticeable but the TOYOTA still is.

When you say "compound", I assume you mean just get some Turtle Wax "Rubbing Compound"...? Looks like putty..? What kind of wax??

The longer you wait the worse. I did mine pretty quick. I figured the worse the paint got and the more the sun faded it, the worse it would outline. Cheapest and best mod for looks I think.

Gonna do mine the next hot day we have. Just gotta park the ass end into the sun, then hit it up with some mint waxed floss

I've debadged every car I've owned, other then the nice 5.0 fender badges on my "weekend" car

just de-badged my week old yaris 3 door .. didnt have any fishing line but had dental floss which worked .. its only 60 degrees outside and my car was parked in the shade .. it was way too easy .. maybe b/c its so new .. i used the floss to get it started then used my nails and fingers to pull off the toyo and yaris letters.. yeah the letters broke but i dont want the emblems anyways ..

I removed mine because it makes the car a mystery (for the parking meter maids, since I dealer temp plates and my vin is obscured... for some reason). Of course, I told Chino the other day that I didn't see that many Yarii out here, but of course I've seen like 10 a day since then.

I guess I didn't notice them all because they are all stock, and I am used to looking at the sweet-ass rides on here all day long!
