DIY: TRD shift knob kit install

Easy install. Pics tell the story....
I used Loctite 271 adhesive red on the brass collar and 242 blue on the shifter shaft.

$50 shipped via Ebay from Conicelli Toyota of Springfield.
I had a 10% off coupon for the 'bay.
BTW, the 5 speed version screws right on without the brass threaded piece and has a different collar piece on the bottom.

hey nice i have the same one. but it's not a trd knob. oh yea the chrome center is going to be cracking but i like it.

What's the chrome center? The part with the hex key screws on the top of the ball? Any pics of the crack, how bad?

It is a Toyota part,I guess not from the TRD line though.

It is a Toyota part,I guess not from the TRD line though.

That's the top piece. Is it plated plastic mabye?
Could be cracked due to pressure from the shifter's shaft perhaps.
You should set the camera to macro or pull back a bit the camera from the subject. You'll get clearer pics that way.
I would like to see this crack...

Mine is OEM too. Scion tC speedstar shiftknob in mesh pattern.

the cracking are around the hex. lol did that. the pic are from my phone lg shine to much light at work need to take them out side with the sun light.
