2009 Japanese Import - adjust wing mirrors?
Hi, just wondering if anyone could advise
We purchased a 2009 Japanese Import late last year locally - based in Ireland The manual that came with it is (very helpful) in Japanese. There doesn't seem to be an option in the car for changing the angle of the side mirrors. I checked the manual and did a follow-the-pictures trail, which showed there should be a panel down to the right below the steering wheel which would have the side mirror movement options. Ours just has a blank space there. Any thoughts on where else this might have been placed? Hopefully not just overlooked entirely... TIA |

Manual mirrors? Roll down the window, reach out and adjust by hand? That's how mine works. Good luck.

LOL, infuriatingly, many of the base versions of the Yaris come without remotely adjustable mirrors, powered or otherwise. You adjust them by rolling down the window and manipulating the actual mirror glass.
Or you get yourself powered mirrors and the switch off eBay, assuming your car is pre-wired for them. Let me check my notes. How to replace the mirrors, generic: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...15&postcount=1 The wires and plugs in your doors if they're pre-wired: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...6&postcount=11 How to put your colored mirror covers back on the aftermarket replacement mirrors: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38620 The easiest check if your car is pre-wired is to open that little wallet compartment next to the blank for the power mirror switch and look for a rectangular white plug that's not plugged into anything but looks like it would go in here: Last edited by Kar98; 05-13-2015 at 03:50 PM. |
