Nice! I like the way the Fit won for styling, but not for finish, especially since a lot of noobs here have witched about the finish. Let them buy a Fit.

Yup, thats from the Philippines :)

The yaris can only do 11km/ Liter here in our country due to sucky roads/traffic

That's an excellent article but the comparison is between a MT Jazz/Fit vs AT Yaris.

It's good that the AT Yaris subjectively beat the MT Jazz/Fit. What more if they compared a MT Yaris?

I think the comparison was between a 5spdAT Fit and a 4spdAT Yaris.

Woops! My eyes are killing me. I stand corrected.

I'm still glad the Yaris won!

Can anyone re-post the link? It's broken.
I know it's an old post, but I want to see the comparison.

Cool!

Honestly, that's the first comparison test between the two that I've seen the Yaris win.

To me the fit is the nicer of the two, its bigger rides better the shifter feels like your actually shifting not moving a plastic stick around in a shoe box and the stereo sounds alot better. the yaris is way cheaper though and you get what you pay for its a plain car that you can put alot of miles on with little maintenance. I do prefer the looks of the yaris though. I would have bought a fit but i couldn't find any cheap enough got my yaris for 6k with 69k so I couldnt pass up the deal.

I mainly bought the fit for its safety and space. More comfortable interior and more fun to drive. I don't agree Yaris wins in performance and fuel efficiency. Real world mpg in the fit is phenomenal. I am getting 41 mpg 85% hwy.

There are many people with Yaris who've gotten over 50 mpg.
And according to the test done by Motor Trend, Yaris beats Fit in both 0-60mph and 1/4 mile race.

0-60mph Yaris 10.4s ; Fit 11.9
1/4 miles Yaris 17.8s ; Fit 18.4

I can attest to that, but I've only broken 50mpg on a long trip, pretty much all highway keeping the speed low using various hypermilling techniques to keep from being bored to death. (I know that seems a bit opposite of what most would do on a long trip)

Normally, it's between 41-43 to the tank at 70% highway, but with the winter and much more city driving (about 50%), I'm still getting 36-38 which isn't bad at all.

Of course my baby will never see 60 in 10.4s ... I like my Yaris.

Never say never; if you ever see a semi in your mirror barreling down at you while you're sitting at a red light...
