In DC it's still over $3.20 here. BUT go 6 miles either direction and it's $2.70.

I stopped at this station last night....still the cheapest credit card price in our metro and the price had dropped 2 cents to $2.31 9/10 without the loyalty card. I entered the phone number for the loyalty card, and had enough fuel points (from purchases) to get a 10 cent per gallon discount.....rather than the 3 cents per gallon I'd get with zero fuel points, so I paid $2.21 9/10 USD per gallon....less than the cheapest cash price as well.

Gas is still $2.59 at the Exxon station where I get it. But across the street at Hess it went up from $2.61 to $2.71 this AM.

Im wondering whats up with that?

Wich is the "best" brand (texaco , shell , valero) of fuel, i will go to USA in december or only use more cheaper.

Any fuel that sold in USA is much much better than mexican fuel

When I've stayed in East Brunswick, the Hess station is usually more expensive than the others along that part of RT 18 .....haven't noticed if that trend follows in other parts of NJ where I've filled up.

I believe any name brand will do. I use Exxon or Shell. Stay away from generic gas stations!

Just that the price went UP suddenly at Hess when it was a few cents higher than at Exxon. I fear a return to high prices!

To all of you saying prices are high, I laugh at you. Here in Serres, Greece, BP had gas for 1.799 EUR/litre. Others 1.629 EUR/litre. Thats for last month.
As of today, most gas stations reduced their prices. Where I put gas from, Shell, has it for 1.525 EUR/litre atm, while BP stays high at 1.699.
I dont really understand why such difference, but BP has still some loyal customers. Strange.

Do you have any idea what portion of that 1.525 EUR/litre = taxes ?
