dashboard lights

at night my dashboard panel lights do not show so I have no idea how fast Im going etc. The cd still works along with other electrical things. I found out where the fuse panel is but how do you remove the fuse to check it? Do I need a special tool? Is this common or is there some electrical issue? Please help?!?

Does your car have the dimmer knob on the lower part of the dash? If so, it is likely all the way down, and simply turning it up with the headlights on will resolve the issue.

hey no its part of the OD and trip button. It is suppose to go through trip 1, then trip 2, then brightness control, then back to OD but it does not do that all of the time. I have a feeling its the dimmer switch as well but also wanted to check the fuse which is crazy hectic to get out. What can I use to remove that thing? Thank you for your help.

If you look in the under-hood fuse panel there should be a white plastic "tool" for pulling the fuses. If it is missing, you can carefully use a pair of needle nose pliers.
