steering wheel problem

I have a problem with my steering wheel and it seems that evrytime I make a turn it starts to turn slowly and I cannot be able to turn all the way.can it be the steering wheel belt?.is there a way that I can avoid going to the dealer without being charged? Pls let me know asap.thanx guys!

There's not a belt on the Yaris. It has electric power steering. It sounds like there is something seriously wrong with yours. With that low of mileage, you should still be under warranty.

You also might have dammage to the front end components under the car, not just the steering wheel/ power steering. Take it to the dealer under warranty!

Get it fixed while under warranty-a report from Prius owners with the same kind of steering system indicated the components that make it all work are an integrated unit and costs upwards of $2000 to replace. Fact or fiction, I only know what I read and know I hope I don't ever have to find out.
