Yes, engine code is a must. It's sucks they quit making the Celica because it would also have drive by wire too if they still made it. Then that would be a damn sweet swap.

I must have that speedo and heater controls....

Looks like the 2ZR-FE, seems to be the first application of this engine, actually, and according to this is replaces the 1ZZ-FE:

Most notable would be the Dual-VVTi..

Interesting!

I think E may have it right. However they need to quit putting the dinky versions in there. I mean come on. 1.8 liter with only like 130 hp? PUHLEASE! Come on Toyota. Celica had 1.8 and it made upwards of 180hp (190 in the Elise). Yaris would sell like hot cakes with that kind of power in this small of a package.

The xD is powered by the lively 1.8 L four-cylinder engine with dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) that puts out 128 horsepower. Customers have the choice of a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. This 2ZR-FE engine features a roller rocker system and light weight piston for better fuel economy and a piston cooling oil jet for better efficiency.

Not a very good potential swap. However in 10 years when motors finally start going whack possibly a potential replacement.

TS

Jim,

Great car. Mazzel Jim.

Hey guys, sorry for the Dutch writing.

Later. Rwseattle.
