I changed mine on Friday. Just printed out the TSB and "COMPLAINED" to the dealer and it was changed no questions asked. As I was told it's supposed to be some kind of high flow catalytic

No sulfur odor but my mileage stinks. Perhaps this would help?

Is it too soon to tell if it impacted your fuel economy YamilR?

Grr

Well My last, last tank was 28mpg driving it like an idiot.

This past tank I drove normal.... and only got to 31.08mpg........

So wtf is causing this? I miss the 36mpg I use to get when I first got my car.

On 2 occasions i had a sulfur stink on my SEDAN...does anyone know if this TSB aaplies to Sedans? Heh heh it describes myt driving habit though...stop and go driving and also heavy acceleration... <-- as a result of those 2 things my MPG will never be great!

They had the same problem/excuse with the corolla. I was reading this automechanics magazine and there was this ad for "a/c vent cleaner". I forgot where it all goes but it had this butler holding a giant piece of stinky cheese.

I subscribe to Tundra Solutions, a toyota list that has been around for some time. Members there are GREAT about sharing PDF's from Toyota. Also a fairly large group of toyota techs that post TSB's on an extremely timely basis Tis one was posted the DAY it came out!!! The sight ia well worth the membership for us multiple Toyota owners.

Funny thing... I saw this post today and pretty much disregarded it as I haven't had the problem. Then a couple of hours ago I pulled into my friend's driveway after I went on a tear through the sticks with a Solara and sure enough, it reeked of sulfur. Can't wait for my new cat, haha. Thanks tomjasz.
