Curious if anyone here has put a canoe on the roof, how/who/what/where etc... and of course pictures...
I have a sedan and would like to carry a canoe, they have racks for the my car, but worried about the length...and front/rear tie down locations.... |

hmmm that's not a bad idea, strap two canoes to the roof, in case of flood, just flip over!

Better strap those canoes to lower sides of the car. Then you wouldn't have to flip over.

I might be strapping one to my Sedan this fall. I'm going to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota and after figuring the cost of my Yari ($175) and my Dad's F150($400) he offered to by me a set of Yakimas. I used to have a Subaru Justy (They put the JUST in Just a piece of shit!) and strap a canoe to the top. I had a terrible time with the ropes coming loose and it did effect handling.

on a serious note yakima, and thule sell roof racks for the sedan, and they have a canoe option, and peeps this is for the sedan so there shouldn't to much overhang, I'll try it this summer, and let you all know how it goes, anywhere to tie down on the front of the car????
