Could it be this easy?
Is all that holds the back seat is a few in the back(trunk side) and on the front(engine side)? I've been thinkin about removing it for sometime now...not only for the lil weight savings but also gives me a excuse to not drive more than 1 passenger SO could it really b THAT simple just take out a few bolts and ba-da-bing ba-da-boom?

They may have changed the bolts for your year. Mine had torx (07) and that was all that was it. Mine was 60/40 don't know if that makes a difference (seat type) as far as bolts are concerned. Hardest part was doing it (one man) and lifting them out without scratching or dinging anything. I do like how it looks today and I've had several dealer salespersons tell me that they would have no problem getting rid of the car for me if I wanted to trade (of course).

I have the 60/40 split 2, maybe it's just a year to year thing.

I've got the 60/40, but I think the bolt pattern is the same for the bench seat too. If I recall correctly there are 4 bolts on the back of the seat(s) and four on the front.
It's not hard to get the rear seat(s) out, just a bit awkward with the 60/40 split. |

yup, it is that easy. The car is much better without it.

60/40 is a bit trickier than the bench seats, but yeah, get the appropriate socket and you'll be a happy camper. If you never plan to put them back in, someone here might want to buy the seats off you to upgrade form the regular bench seats...

Rear bench dosen't exactly fold flat. They leave a slight ridge between truck cover and seat back, as well as tip upward at approx 5 degrees.
