I NEED HELP

After the SPKRMAN ordeal I decided to try and do my own car audio install...

One problem, I have no idea how

I have some speakers with Crossovers but I have no clue how to wire them.

The crossovers have 8 leads on them

2 for Input- I got that!
2 for Woofer- Easy enough
4 for the Tweeter- Only 2 wires are coming off the tweeter????

1) -
2) +0
3) + -3db
4) + -6db

I know db stands for Decibels but I don't know how to wire 2 wires to 4 plugs

PLEASE HELP!

Dependant on where you are mounting your tweeters, dropping the db ratings, knocks down the volume of the tweeters. A lot of the time your aftermarket radio will also have adjustments to drop down the high frequencies for the tweeters, but thats just another way on the treble...

my infinitys have a 0 and -3 db....after i got them mounted, I realized that they were crazy loud with my receivers settings all at 0, so i pulled the door apart and hooked them up on the -3db and made my adjustments through the stereo....

basically what you will want to do is get youw tweeters installed and hooked up, sit in the seat and see how they sound with all the eq settings for high frequencys set at 0.....also set the crossover at 0....if its too loud, move it down to the -3db, if its still a little too much, set it on -6db....

my personal preference is -3 db, that was on the receivers power. when i hook it up to an external amplifier, Its going to get louder. So to me 0 wasn't even an option.

so per your list if black is negative and red is positive,

black wire to 1

and switch around the red wire til it sounds the best.....

good luck and hope that helps
