Mcculloch HID BIXENON from ebay 409$
Hi, I want to install HID kits, and i want the BIXENON kit, (hi and low beam in XENON).
I tryed to find this Dealer (mcculloch one), and i cannot find it, only in ebay auctions. Anybody here has intelled them? Do you know if this work well in our yaris (Hatchback 2007, h4 bulb). Is this price good for the "quality" of this brand? thank you.!! |

Looks like a nice kit but I have never heard of it myself. I am also shopping around right now.

i think Mcculloch HID kits are the best bang for your buck. That kit seems a tad bit pricy but nonetheless a good buy.

I fail to see how $400 headlights are a "good buy". Someone please tell me why some folks are willing to pay such exorbitant prices for them.

iono. i have friends who bought the $150-$200 HID conversion kits and their stuff went out on them pretty quickly. Even my buddy with the $400 dollar kit fried his stuff about a month ago but lasted longer compared to the $150-$200 kit. You get what you pay for. Better to go with retrofit but i think the $400 kit is better than the $100-$200 kits

I have looked in to the Bi-Xenon's and they look like they would be more trouble then they are worth, moving parts in the bulb is just setting it's self up for failier

I agree, except it's not just the bi-Xenon's, it's HID's all together. They're to expensive and to unreliale for me to justify purchasing them. Yeah, they look sweet, but I can see just fine at night without them.

HID's may not make sense to everyone, but where I live seeing a deer 10 feet earlier could save your ass thousands of dollars. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone total a Yaris hitting a deer at the right speed. There are a million stupider things people spend $400 on than HID's, a mod that functions as much as a safety feature as it does for the bling factor. They need to be installed right, though, or you did just waste your money.

were not saying nix the HID's just that the bi-xenon's were not a good buy due to moving parts that have the ability to fail.

I had a Catz Bi-Xenon system on a Civic. Was around $500. Worked really well. Had to finally retire the system because I could not find a replacement bulb for a burned out unit - Catz pulled out of the US market. I recommend going with an established brand so you don't get left high and dry.

Its a KIT christ...uts ugly and not & never gonna be better than retrofit. That "conversion kit" can get you all the stuff (not tools) to do a retrofit.

you can make a kit look fine and function fine if you install correctly, it has been done, I think this kit is pricey and as stated by other memebrs moving parts could fail can't wait to see your hack job

ha, well a conversion kit simply is what it is and you can get good results from it if you do a little tweaking retro fit is great and you if have the time and money and a spare set of headlights it is certainly another way to go
