The D is on the right and the 3 is on the left which I thought was a weird set up. It's very different from any car....even my grandmother's old toyota.

I like the set-up, it makes sense as it allows for easier downshifts with the auto.
And I don't see how tough it is to figure out, all you have to do is run the shifter through the gears to realize how it works. Heck, I also work full time and am going to grad school, plus I have two young kids; and I found time to read the owner's manual. It's not like a 500-page graduate level book on the history of military deception (which I am in the middle of reading)! Cheers! M2 |

Pretty simple 4 speed automatic,no matter what they call each gear.
Each gear has two options lower or higher. They are made in a way to prevent you from over shifting and slamming the car into reverse,or another unwanted gear. |

While I haven't seen it before, I'm surprised some people had this much trouble with it. I'm far from an automotive person, but, just looking the gear selector it lays it out pretty plainly.
---P ---R ---N 3--D --2 -1 3 is beside D. There is no 3-D3 there's a 3-D you can slide the shifter left and right there, so one could (should) be able to conclude that 3 is on the left and D is on the right. |

When you put the car in 3D all of a sudden everything turns Blue and Red, and things jump out at you. You'll need a special pair of glasses to drive correctly
