Yaris sunroof
Has anyone installed an aftermarket sunroof in the 3 dr Yaris. Or does anyone know of a reason why one can't be installed?. I know the interior light might be in the way, but they can usually be relocated farther back, but are there any roof supports etc that might be in the way?

I don't think anyone has done it on the Yaris but I'm pretty sure there are a couple of guys who managed to get a sunroof installed in their echo hb's... check out: http://echodrivers.com/forums/index.php or http://www.echo-bb.com/forum/
Hope you find the answers you're looking for.. |

One of the dealerships that I looked in (not where I bought mine) had one on display with a sunroof (and 17" wheels, custom body kit....slick!)
If you happen to live in the Toronto area you can check it out. It is at the dundas and 427 dealership. I suppose it can be done! Thinking about it myself! Cheers. gravylegs. |

Yep, Mississauga Toyota has a sunroof on a 5 door yaris. Don't know who installed it but looks quite good. It is a Webasto sunroof that has tilt and when retracted the glass is outside the car not between the roof and the roof liner. And apperently this can be done on any Yaris.

I see - cool! I guess the idea of opening the windows for fresh air have never really appealed to me (major urban/city background)... opening windows = *gag* |

Sometimes it get stuffy. Opening the windows may get too much air and the noise at certain speeds. Plus, if there are people in the back seat with long hair... haha.. As prefered to the sunroof's, it can be fully opened or just tilted and still doesn't make as much noise. Plus, it looks good when tilted up:)

i love being able to see over my head in my car. it gives it a more spacious feel. if the price is right, i'm definitely getting a sunroof.

Dealer told me 1200 bones for a moonroof install.
Fyi, sunroofs only pop up, moonroofs slide back. |

I have had a sunroof stock in most of the cars I have owned, and I don't think I have ever used them more then a half dozen times.
Of course, I hate the sun, so that could be why.
