Removing back seat side panel (2 door)
I searched and couldn't find a thread on how to remove the interior side panel in the back seat on a 2 door. I'm trying to get to the inside of the rear quarter panel to work out a door ding. Yaris is a 2010 model. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

You can grab the entire service manual from the Micro Image forum (http://www.microimageonline.com/foru...32-YARIS-FILES), but in a nutshell, to remove the rear side panels:
1. Remove the rear deck over the spare tire, then there are two screws that hold the rear center trim piece, remove them and pull that piece. 2. There are two screws at the bottom of the rear side piece, remove those. There is also one in the rear most hole in the area where the cargo hider sits against. 3. Once those are out, you can pull the side piece loose. There are loads of the push-in body clips that you will have to pull against.

Thanks. Yes, the dreaded clips....I removed the rear hatch panel of our 95 Camry Wagon years ago, and it had tons of clips, and it never was quite as tight again after I put it back together. . . but it's about 4x as big as the Yaris side panel, and had the open/close shocks to deal with also.
Anyway, thanks again. Dave |
