Question Bent rim repair costs!!!!!

Last night I accidentally hit a curb while making a right turn on a very narrow road and now a small part(about 2-3 inches) of my front tire rim is a little bent. I want to repair it but i don't know how much it would cost me.Any idea, anyone? Thanks!

usually buying a replacement wheel is the cheapest solution... unless you have some ultra rare, expensive, one off wheels - what wheels do you have?

Yeah, if the rims are still available, just buy a new one (unless they're ultra expensive). Otherwise, a typical rim repair from my experience is about $125.

Oh, it's just the steelie? Not sure what a repair shop would charge for that. That's a whole different story than repairing a custom rim. Still might be cheaper to replace it.

Bent rim repair costs

I am really considering a set of Beyern black mesh rims with chrome lip. The size of the wheels are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. I am planning to run Yokohama Sdrive tires 235/35ZR19 and 265/30ZR19. The question is what is the best offset for my rim and tire selection for my car? Are these rims and tires any good? Thanks for the input.

are you serious?

you can not cram a 265 tire under a Yaris w/o major modification to the body

I'm in the same situation and spent my morning with a lot of calling around looking for a new/user one & not finding a replacement. Not craigslist, google maps or salvage yards...

I called the firestone down the street to actually repair the thing. 20 bucks to pound it out. (15" stock steal) On the phone they said they do it but inside they said not. After finding the guy to confirm our phone call they said cool. Their process is to take the tire off the wheel and use some machine. I'm halfway through the hour wait.

If this service sucks or doesn't work out I'll repost. Otherwise I'm really happy with this solution.

Still, if you can find a replacement for $15 more and are willing to wait a while (which I'm not) then that may be the better route...

If you're able to bend a stock steelie with 60 series tires, I'd be much more concerned with the other damage (alignment, axle, ball joint, ect.).

It takes a huge impact to go through a 60+ series tire a bend a steel wheel.

I accidentally an entire rim, what do?

Seriously though, you better check out your alignment and make sure you didn't bend a torsion bar or something. It takes a LOT of force to bend a steelie. Cop cars have 'em for a reason - they're durable as hell.

I was advised CA$125.00 per wheel for repair/refinishing at Wheel Wizards in Hamilton Ontario.
